Community Living Instructors 

Make a Difference in People's Lives!

The Arc of Spokane is searching for motivated, enthusiastic, and dependable people to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the areas of independent living, community skills, personal care and safety. We offer paid on the job training and will assist you in obtaining all required certifications to work in this field. Your schedule flexibility is key. Hours will vary depending on the needs of each Supported Living Site.

***We are currently looking to fill part-time and full-time direct support positions, Both Male & Female***

**Minimum Requirements**
Minimum age 18
Completed HS Diploma or GED
Must pass an FBI fingerprint background check
Legible handwriting & good communication skills
Basic computer proficiency
Reliable transportation (driver's license & proof of insurance) for most positions
Work schedules and hours available, vary by each site. (Days, Swing, NOC-Shift)
Must be able to attend the paid training and obtain certifications

Wage is $12.15/hr (increase to $12.75/hr 08/01/18), Medical, Dental, Life insurance benefits at 30+ hours per week, Vacation, sick, personal leave time + premium paid holidays.

Production Associate

It takes keen eyes and a knowledge of quality goods to work on our production team. You might accept donations from the public you may unload, sort, tag, hang or price donations.

Our associates are on their feet and constantly moving throughout their shift. You understand that you are a valued part of a team that works together to process our donated goods. You are dependable, have initiative, diligence and the ability to assist in meeting hourly/daily/weekly production goals and sales quotas. If you possess these qualities, you may be a perfect candidate for the following open positions:

Full-Time - 40 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday, 7am-3:30pm, $12.25 per hour

Physical requirements for most positions will include but are not limited to: The ability to stand, twist, bend and lift up to 50 lbs regularly. May also work in inclement weather or extreme temperatures.

Successful candidates will have a positive attitude, the desire to work as a team, and will always strive for exceptional customer service.

Minimum Requirements: 18 years old, have a High School diploma or GED, and MUST successfully pass our required background check.

  Patti Moore, Community Inclusion Support Specialist 
Patti is a Community Inclusion Support Specialist who works out of our main 2nd Ave office. She is a direct support professional who makes an amazing impact on the lives of her clients. She is dedicated to doing her best for the clients she serves, focusing on what the client wants and the best outcomes for everyone. Patti has a true love of seeing her clients happy and healthy. Thank you for all that you do! 

2017 Leadership Employee of the Year
 Amber VanFredenberg, Supported Living Site Manager
Amber is the site manager for one of our Supported Living homes, and first started with The Arc in 2009. In 2017 Amber took on the role of Site Manager for the Valley Supported Living Site and hit the ground running: dealing with staffing issues, client medical concerns and other challenges. Even with all that going on Amber was and is willing to pitch in at other sites when support is needed. She is a fierce advocate for our clients, a huge support to her coworkers, and an incredible asset to The Arc. Thank you, Amber, for all that you do.
